Marry My Husband Episode 5: Recap
FLASHBACK DRUNK JI_WON:
The first scene of MARRY MY HUSBAND Episode 5 begins with a
flashback from 2005. Ji-Hyeok is out celebrating with his buddies when he runs
into a drunken Ji-won who has recently lost her dad and split up with her
friend. Ji-won is so drunk that she bites Ji-Hyeok in the face because he is
covered in liquor.
Ji-Hyeok sits by Ji-won's side on the grass as Ji-won
complains about how she doesn't have anyone to care for her. Ji-Hyeok
empathizes Ji-won's situation and reveals that his mother passed away and his
dad remarried and then passed away too. They end up sleeping together in the
park, and when Ji-Hyeok wakes up in the morning Ji-won is gone.
Cute Cat & Ji-Won:
Later, Ji-Hyeok watches Ji-won feeding a cat and realizes
that Ji-won is a senior at his college and he watches her feed the cat a few
times, and when winter comes, he builds a small shelter for the cat. Ji-Hyeok
muses about how he had several opportunities to marry Ji-won but didn't take
them and when he woke up in 2013 with a second shot at life, he's all about
taking charge. Including Ji-won's suggestion to change his look, which brings
us to Ji-Hyeok finally wearing a three-piece suit with a sharp cut.
Office entry:
Ji-Hyeok arrives at work in a smart suit and a slimmer
hairstyle, telling Ji-won he feels better now that he's dressed better. His new
look elicits stares, spills of coffee, and drooling subordinates — and a very
angry Min-hwan.
Min-hwan grabs Ji-won and tells her that Ji-Hyeok interested
in her. Ji-won excuses himself and goes back to his office. Ji-Hyeok get a call
from his grandfather's secretary, asking about his shares in Roijental. Ji-Hyeok’s
grandfather thinks his behavior is odd and tells his secretary to check it out.
Elevator scene:
In other side Ji-won is talking about the idea of the meal
kit, while Yoo-run is talking about the same thing. Then, Soo-min walks in and
gets in the middle of the conversation. Manager Gyeong Suk walks in and tells
Ji-won that he needs to park his car somewhere else.
Ji-won returns to the elevator, and Soo-min waits by the
elevators to show that she is the only friend of Ji-won. She asks if she had
anything to do with the meal kit plan, but before Ji-won could answer, she gets
a call from her manager, who says he's going to take the credit of the meal kit
plan and take Ji-won's name off of it.
Just as Ji-won starts to wonder if the meal kit plan was
always meant to be her and Soo-min's idea, Ji-Hyeok shows up and asks if Ji-won
wants to go out to dinner with him, but Ji-won says she has plans and that
she's going to meet Eun-Ho at her restaurant.
Min-hwan tries to call Ji-won, but ends up on the wrong line,
calls Soo-min, and Soo-min tells Ji-won's mother that she left Ji-won's dad for
another man. Soo-min then tells him that she's cheating on him with someone
else.
Eun-Ho and Ji-won dinner:
at dinner, Ji-won sees Eun-ho showing him a letter she said
she wrote him. It's a cruel letter, and Ji-won realizes Soo-min can read her
handwriting. Later, Ji-won tells Eun-ho she has a boyfriend. Eun-ho thinks it's
Ji-Hyeok, and he describes his interaction with Ji-won, leaving Ji-won
perplexed. Ji-Hyeok sees Ji-won with Eun-ho, and he tries to call her, but
she's switched off her phone to avoid him.
Ji-won followed by Min-hwan:
On the way home, Ji-won buys some medicine for her stomach ache, but someone starts to follow her. She starts to run, but it's Min-hwan.
It's downright scary. When Ji-won calls him out for spooking
her, he sneaks up on her and laughs at her fear. How much worse can he get? He
takes her anxiety as proof that she's unfaithful, and the fight escalates into
an aggressive wrist grab that Ji-won cannot get out of. The way he uses her
fear - a perfectly reasonable fear for a woman walking home alone at night - is
so sickening and so true to life.
Ji-Hyeok’s Action:
He gets violent than sudden Min-hwan gets knocked to the
ground by the judo-fist of Ji hyuk, who had just made a U-turn on Ji-won after
worrying that none of his phone calls had reached her. Ji-Hyeok is in a state
of shock at the thought that Ji-won is dead, and his grip on the collar almost
strangles him, but Ji-won manages to stop him. Min-hwan runs off like the
chicken he is, and Ji-won doesn't understand what's going on.
Ji-Hyeok calls Hee-yeon:
She finds out about Ji hyuk 's involvement in the high school
reunions, and she thinks he's cheating on Hee-yoon. Ji hyuk doesn't like
misunderstandings, and he clarifies everything right away. Ji-Hyeok calls
hee-yeon right there and shows Ji-won that she's not his girlfriend, but his
sister. Ji-won feels remorseful for what she said and did, and asks Ji-Hyeok to
forgive her for what she did.
Most waited confession:
At that point, Ji-Hyeok reveals his real feelings to Ji-won.
He says he loves her very much, and he walks Ji-won to her house. Right before
he says goodbye to her, he collapses, but Ji-won holds him. And that's how the
episode ends.

Review of Marry My Husband Episode 5:
The pace of MARRY MY The story progressed in an interesting
way, with a consistent flow that kept the viewers interested. However, the
over-the-top nature of Episode 5 threatens to lose some of the viewers’
interest. We have established all the characters and their motives. Ji-won’s
backstory is solid enough to have anyone interested in her. However, as the
series progresses, the story will have to find new ways to make her revenge
interesting.
What was the highlight in Marry my husband episode 5 ?
The highlighting part of the drama is finally our Ji-Hyeok confess his feeling to ji-won. He expressed how much he loves her.
What was the cute moment in Marry my husband episode 5 ?
The cute moment of episode 5 is when Ji-Hyeok calls Hee-yeon right there and shows Ji-won that she's not his girlfriend, but his sister.
